Mild side effects of redness, bruising, numbness, and discomfort may cause some degree of pain in the treated area. These effects are only temporary.

Targeted fat reduction does not happen immediately. Side effects will resolve within a few days; however, it will take several weeks for the fat cells to be eliminated from the treated area. Notable results can usually be seen after about 2-3 months.

Fat freezing is more of a body contouring technique rather than one that helps with weight reduction. It is best designed for individuals who are nearing their body goals but have specific areas of fat that do not respond to dieting and exercise.

While fat freezing treatments are deemed safe, there is no known data supporting that these treatments cause detriment to women during pregnancy. It is typically suggested not to undergo such fat freezing slimming procedures during pregnancy.

Although fat freezing can be performed on a majority of individuals, it will not be appropriate for some people with cold environment disorders, dermatitis, or open wounds. Autoimmune and chronic medical conditions require much more care.

The duration of treatment will vary based on the areas being treated and the specific fat freezing machines utilized. In most cases, a single session on each area takes approximately 35 minutes to an hour, and eachan additional area will take the same amount of time.
